I've been searching the web for a short guide or summary on how the ADF works for a scanner. If you have a Canon fax machine for example, you can either utilize feeder up top which takes in regular letter size paper to scan. Or, you can use the Platen glass if you have documents that won't fit in the feeder. The glass and feeder are two totally different parts arent they? If the glass is dirty, will that have any effect on the documents I scan using the ADF? It's one of those "duh" questions, I know. Much appreciated, everyone.
